Which cards are going up right now?

A trend, not one big jump

A single high sale can make any card look hot for a day. A real rise shows up across several time spans: the price is higher than two months ago, higher than a month ago, and still edging up over the last two weeks. Cards whose price barely gets updated are hard to read, and cards that doubled in a few weeks often cool off again, so a steady climb usually tells you more than a spike.

What Buy and Strong Buy mean

Every night Bull Run rates each card from $1 up. In plain words:

• Buy: the price is up at least 5% over eight weeks and at least 3% over four weeks, and is still rising over the last two weeks (but not by a wild amount), with a normal amount of price activity.
• Strong Buy: a bigger run, at least 15% over eight weeks and 5% over four, or a calm riser: a card climbing steadily with only small ups and downs.
• Hold is the most common rating and means no clear move either way. Cards whose prices change very often, and old cards whose prices jump up and down, are kept at Hold on purpose.

Estimates, not guarantees

A rating looks backward at prices that already happened. It can say a card has been rising; it cannot know that it will. Bull Run shows how often cards with the same rating in the same game went up within 90 days in the past, so you can judge how much weight to give it. Treat a Buy as a suggestion to take a closer look, and check the card's own price chart before you spend.

How Bull Run does it

1. On Home, tap Buy Signals under Discover for a list of rising cards across the whole market, not just yours. It starts sorted by Total gain (est.), which weighs the card's own rating together with where its game is heading. You can also sort by % over market, value, 30-day change or volume, and filter by game.
2. Scroll Home to the Trending rails, one for your collection and one for all cards, and tap See all. That list can sort by Trending Up, Trending Down, Biggest % and Biggest $.
3. Open any card and tap View Advanced Analytics to see its Market Signal with the reason, a score bar from strong sell to strong buy, a "Next 90 days · estimate" based on past cards like it, and its track record.
4. In Search or on a set's page, sort by Best buys first. In your collection, sort by Buy / sell rating.

Browse by Set also shows a whole game's trend in plain words, such as Uptrend or Downtrend, above its list of sets. Ratings cover Pokémon, Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh and many other games; sealed products are not rated. See also finding underpriced cards on eBay.

Which plan includes it?

Free: Trending, the Buy and Sell signal lists, and ratings in sorts and filters are all included, plus Advanced Analytics on 1 card a day. Pro and Premium: Advanced Analytics on as many cards as you like.
